remember that stud i photographed last year?? well he is running to be Man of the Year for the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society. Friday, April 8th is his kick-off event for the campaign, and i will be there to photograph the event. if you want, grab a friend and come down to Lunar Lounge, in downtown cincinnati and help him out.

awesome baby #2 of 2011! parker is the new nephew of my past couple jim & robyn. for being less than 2 weeks old, this boy was awake and watching everything! very rare on such new babies. i must say he wasn't quite the biggest fan of me in the beginning, but i think we became buddies.

now that i'm out of my slack mode, i will finally do a blog post. alec & beck are the start of my baby mania of 2011. cutest little things ever! i was actually so scared photographing these twins, but they were amazing! they were sleeping most the time, and when they were not... they were just checkin out everything. photographing newborns is a complete 180 from photographing weddings. yes i was exhausted after the shoot, but babies have such that sweet innocence. so cute

engagement excitement!

well finally i am coming around to blog about it.... sorry for the delay. so everyone knows popular engagement times of the year..... december is one of the biggest, and this past december it hit close to home. monday, december 13th, my best friend comes storming through my house "LOOK AT MY ENGAGEMENT RING!!" i totally called the engagement earlier that day, i know a thing or two about couples. donna is actually the one who taught me how to be so loud and annoying.... you should have heard the house that night!!

10 days later....

i wake up to texts from my friends "HAPPY ENGAGEMENT DAY!!" i was even given rules, on which phones to call that evening. apparently going out to dinner equals engagement??

well, they were right!! at this point the only person who knew was my dad, so i guess friends do know a lot about each other. we started making phone calls, and letting everyone know. thanks to marc's friends, they got a hold of half of my friends and family before i could! glad to know they were excited

well, if you knew a thing or two about the dynamic duo of ash & donna.... you would think it was planned.... WELL IT WAS NOT! which makes it even 100000 times more exciting. we are starting on the planning, ready for the next few years of weddings.

koco, brian, and babies

meet two of my future in-laws! koco and brian are the youngest and hippest aunt and uncle to my fiance. since day one they were always such great people, and supported me in photography every year for their christmas cards! as soon as they announced they were having twins, i was pumped knowing i would be the one to document their lives. koco is a delicious chef and brian is cincinnati's greatest rock star. these two will make amazing parents, and everyone is so excited for these babies to come. i have high hopes of the boys coming on my birthday :)
